Die GVM-1000 Serie ist ein von LevelOne entwickelter Remote Managed Gigabit Ethernet Glasfaser Medienkonverter mit OAM-Funktionen. Er kann Ethernet-Signale zwischen 10/100/1000Base-T und 1000Base-X umwandeln und unterstützt sowohl Halbduplex- als auch Vollduplexoperationen und eine Vielzahl von Glasfaseroptionen.
Remote-Geräte können über einen faserverbundenen OAM-Medienkonverter oder OAM-Switch verwaltet werden, wenn sie als eigenständige Lösung eingesetzt werden. Er beinhaltet eine einfach zu bedienende Web-Benutzeroberfläche für Betrieb, Verwaltung und Wartung, sowohl lokal als auch aus der Ferne. Durch die IEEE802.3ah OAM-Konformität kann dieser Konverter mit jedem IEEE802.3ah-konformen Glasfaser-Switch verbunden werden und unterstützt Loop-Back- und Dying Gasp-Funktionen. Alle Funktionen des angeschlossenen Konverters können über Web-Management konfiguriert und überwacht werden, einschließlich Bandbreitenkontrolle, Duplex, Geschwindigkeit und VLAN-Konfiguration.
