Il LevelOne GEL-2871 è uno switch gigabit gestito L2 plus intelligente a 28 porte con 24 porte RJ45, 2 slot in fibra SFP 1GbE e 2 slot in fibra SFP 1/2,5GbE, progettato per applicazioni di connettività aziendale o di grandi gruppi di lavoro con prestazioni di commutazione non bloccanti a velocità di cavo e funzioni avanzate di gestione della rete.
Lo switch supporta un'interfaccia di gestione flessibile basata sul Web sia per IPv4 che per IPv6, nonché l'accesso alla gestione tramite console, SNMP e Telnet. Nonostante il suo prezzo accessibile, il GEL-2871 è dotato di molte funzionalità avanzate come lo snooping Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP), VLAN basata su porta/MAC/tag, IEEE 802.1D/w/s Spanning Tree, Access Control List (ACL), IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet, Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP), IEEE 802.1p QoS, Storm Control per la protezione da broadcast/multicast/unknown unicast e molto altro.
