Below is a step by step test case.

Advanced: Set SNMP config of the device.

The device enabled SNMP function already, you can read MIB-2 objects using software such as SNMP manager software.

Step1: Install SNMP manager software. Now we use iReasoning as test tools now.

Download iReasoning: http://www.ireasoning.com/downloadmibbrowserlicense.shtml

Step2: install successfully, executing MIB Browser.

Step3: executing trap receiver and start it.

Step4: back to the MIB browser, and load RFC1213-MIB

Step5: Setting device address and Advanced

Step6: Try to getting the relevant objects of system operation.

Step7: if succeed, you can see some info as below.

Step8: Try to change SNMP version

And go back step6 and try again. You can see as below.

Because device SNMPv2 is disabled, therefore you will receive the trap of authentication failed.
