The LevelOne IGU-2872 is a high-density L2+ managed industrial Ethernet switch designed for large-scale fiber aggregation in automation, transportation and utility networks. With 16 x 100/1000Base-X SFP ports, 8 x Gigabit SFP/RJ45 combo ports and 4 x 1/2.5GbE SFP uplinks, it provides flexible fiber and copper connectivity for connecting field devices, distribution rings and backbone links in one platform.
Built for harsh, always-on environments, the IGU-2872 features redundant AC/DC power inputs, 6KV surge protection and enhanced ESD immunity (Air: 15kV, Contact: 8kV). A fanless IP40 metal enclosure with rack-mount design and a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +80°C ensures reliable operation in roadside cabinets, substations and factory control rooms where heat, dust and vibration are common.
To minimize downtime in mission-critical systems, the switch supports ITU-T G.8032 ERPS ring redundancy with recovery times of less than 20ms. Comprehensive Layer 2 functions including VLAN, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Link Aggregation, QoS and IGMP Snooping optimize multicast and real-time traffic, helping to prioritize SCADA, video and control data across complex industrial networks.
Deployment and maintenance are simplified with USB one-key configuration for fast backup and restore, plus powerful management via Web, SNMP, CLI, Telnet and SSH. Security features such as 802.1X authentication, port isolation and ACLs protect critical infrastructure at the edge, while IPv4/IPv6 static routing and an integrated DHCP server provide essential Layer 3 capabilities to streamline addressing and inter-VLAN routing.
