The LevelOne GEP-1622 is a 16-port Gigabit PoE-Plus switch designed for dense PoE deployments such as IP camera systems, wireless access points and VoIP phones. All 16 ports support 10/100/1000 Mbps and deliver both data and power over a single Ethernet cable, simplifying installations in offices, stores and campus environments.

Compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at, the GEP-1622 provides a total PoE power budget of up to 480W, with as much as 30W available per port. This allows installers to power a mix of standard and high-power devices without additional power injectors or outlets. Auto-detection and protection of non-standard PoE devices help safeguard existing network equipment during expansion or upgrades.

The switch supports wire-speed Gigabit forwarding with 9K jumbo frames and an 8K MAC address table for smooth data transfer in high-traffic networks. Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) reduces power consumption during periods of low activity, lowering operating costs. Its compact chassis is suitable for desktop use and also fits easily into a 19-inch rack, offering flexible mounting options for small to medium-sized business networks.
