The LevelOne GEP-0521 is a compact 5-port Gigabit PoE switch designed for small offices, stores and home or SOHO surveillance networks. With 4 PoE-enabled ports and 1 Gigabit uplink, it delivers both power and high-speed data over a single Ethernet cable to devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points and VoIP phones.

Fully compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at standards, the GEP-0521 provides a total PoE power budget of 115W, supplying up to 30W per PoE port. Auto-detection ensures that only PoE-capable devices receive power, while built-in protection mechanisms safeguard non-PoE equipment from damage. This simplifies deployment and reduces the need for additional power outlets or separate power injectors.

The switch supports Gigabit Ethernet with 9K jumbo frames, improving throughput for high-bandwidth applications including HD video streaming, NAS access and large file transfers. IEEE 802.3x Flow Control helps prevent packet loss under heavy traffic, while Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) reduces power consumption during periods of low network activity—lowering operating costs and environmental impact.

Featuring plug-and-play operation, auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX on all copper ports, the GEP-0521 is easy to deploy in existing networks.
