FEU-0511 5-Port Fast Ethernet Switch, 4 x 10/100BASE-TX, 1 x SC Multi-Mode Fiber
The LevelOne FEU-0511 is a compact 5-port Fast Ethernet switch with an integrated media converter, designed to bridge copper and fiber networks in small offices, industrial sites and remote locations. It provides 4 x 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 ports for copper connections and 1 x 100BASE-FX SC multi-mode fiber port, enabling flexible copper-to-fiber deployment over distances of up to 2 km.
Supporting 10/100 Mbps auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX on all copper ports, the FEU-0511 simplifies cabling and uplink connections while ensuring each device runs at the optimal speed and duplex mode. Its store-and-forward switching architecture and IEEE 802.3x Flow Control help filter error packets and reduce frame loss, delivering reliable data transmission even under heavy traffic.
As a dual-media solution, the FEU-0511 transparently converts electrical Ethernet signals to optical fiber and back, extending the reach of existing LANs without complex configuration. The plug-and-play design, combined with clear front-panel LEDs for link and activity status, makes installation and day-to-day monitoring straightforward for administrators and installers alike.
